Every Friday, Dana White has his chefs at UFC headquarters whip up some random food item and says if it is a winner or sucks for social media. He calls this little show "Fuck it Friday." Today is Friday and Dana is back at it again, but why is it unsettling this Friday? Well, if you haven't heard by now Dana and his wife Anna were caught on camera in a public altercation where Dana ends up slapping Anna. Now, for the sake of Anna and the children, we haven't written a story about it, because we were late to the party anyway. However, we thought Dana might go radio silent for a little bit, but no one of worth besides TMZ (who also has little worth) and Ariel Helwani, who always does a good job, covered the story. Why? Where has ESPN been? Too busy protecting their partner's image? It sure smells like it. It smells like a bunch of bologna. Today Dana had a Bologna Pie. It seems fitting because as a kindergarten teacher might say, Dana is full of bologna. So, props to the chef on that one.
Above is a screenshot of Dana smiling, having a good time on Fuck it Friday. It's amazing through all of this, his brand is still his priority. Yes, Dana said he was embarrassed by his actions in an interview on TMZ, but is that really it? That's all he had to do to clear his conscience? I know if it were me I probably would want to disappear for a while. I saw someone say he should stop going to UFC events for a month. What is that going to do? I bet he wasn't planning on attending the Brazil card anyway. I think maybe a year's suspension without pay from the UFC would be more reasonable. Could you imagine this wasn't Dana and it was Kamaru Usman or Alex Pereira? The media would crucify them. I understand Anna White does not want this drama to continue to surround her family and I truly feel for her, I do, but Dana seems like he's still focused on building his brand and pleasing his fans on social media. Therefore, my feelings have to go out the window and I need to do my job and share my opinion on the matter.
