Helwani Extends Olive Branch to Squash Beef With Belal Muhammad!

Belal Muhammad has been making plenty of headlines this week due to finally being the recognition he deserves from the fans and the media. It all started when Dana White made the statement "Colby's next." Jon Anik had Muhammad on his podcast with Kenny Florian this past Monday and Anik believes Belal should probably be next in line for the Welterweight title. Colby Covington responded to Jon Anik by saying "Jon Anik, I don't want your kids to grow up without a f****** Dad, you live in Boca. I live in Miami, you better shut your f****** mouth!" in an interview with MMAFighting.com. That's so unprofessional and embarrassing to threaten the voice of the UFC. Jon Anik does play-by-play for the UFC and has won the hearts of the UFC fans. Not only has Colby united fans on Twitter against him, but Colby might be the one to unite Belal Muhammad and Ariel Helwani.

The beef between Ariel Helwani and Belal Muhammad is somewhat unclear from my perspective. Belal Muhammad's manager Ali Abdelaziz typically does not allow most of his fighters to go on Helwani's show. So maybe that is where all of this stems from, but regardless around the fourth question on Ariel's "on the nose" segment during the MMA Hour, Helwani and one of his co-hosts Conner Burks briefly discussed how Colby is uniting fighters against him to squash prior beef and they included Belal. Helwani actually invited Belal on the show and said "Belal you are always welcome." I hope Muhammad joins Ariel next week on Monday or Wednesday.

Belal definitely hasn't been shy about his feelings about Colby Covington and the situation at hand of getting skipped. I'm sure Ariel would also ask Belal more about if he thinks the Usman fight can happen if Colby or someone else does end up getting the next title shot and who else he may like to fight if that isn't possible. I'm excited, there are lots of things going on in the world of UFC right now. Helwani even said on his show today and both co-hosts Conner Burks and Eric Jackman agreed that Colby vs Belal is way more exciting than Leon vs Colby because Colby seems to almost be building a fight with Muhammad. It's going to be fun to see what we get!
