UFC Superstar, Jorge Masvidal is not just a fighter. He is also a promoter of his very own Boxing promotion called Gamebred Boxing. Just now, on Ariel Helwani's MMA Hour, Masvidal dropped a major bomb. On April first, Gamebred Boxing 4 is going to have some huge names for a fairly new boxing promotion. The main event is UFC legend Anthony "Showtime" Pettis vs Roy Jones Jr. The card is also going to feature UFC legend Jose Aldo vs former UFC fighter Jeremy Stephens. MMA legend Vitor Belfort is going to face Jacare Souza. A handful of these guys are legitimate legends, it would be interesting to see if Jorge could get Francis Ngannou on a future Gamebred card.
Jorge also announced Pearl Gonzalez vs Gina Mazany and Paul Daley vs Anthony Taylor. Anthony Taylor is actually known for being the guy to punch Dillon Danis in the face in a viral video that went all over social media. The way Masvidal was promoting Gamebred and talking about the effort he puts into Gamebred I wouldn't be surprised if he's playing chess hoping he could get Anthony Taylor vs Dillon Danis in the future to finish what they started.
Jorge also mentioned how he is going to pay his fighters good money. Based on the names it would make sense that he is. Jorge also said none of the fights on his card will ever be exhibition bouts because he feels like that is just robbing the fans. Masvidal wanted it to be noted that he believes he is a better promoter than Jake Paul. As for the card, every fight is going to be six rounds except the main event. However, this is certainly exciting news. Jeremy Stephens is going to be hoping boxing Aldo goes better than fighting Aldo in the octagon because last time they faced off Aldo knocked him out! It also should be interesting to see how Showtime Pettis box's being his MMA style is so unique.
