Dagestan has produced several MMA Fighters in the last five to ten years. If you are living under a rock, some of the fighters are Islam Makhachev, Khabib Nurmagomedov, Magomed Ankalaev, Umar Nurmagomedov, and Said Nurmagomedov. The UFC's newest addition goes by the name of Sharaputdin "The Bullet" Magomedov. Professionally his MMA record is 12-0. He is a knockout artist, he is 28 years old and just entering his prime. They even call him the Bullet for his lights out speed and power.
The addition of Magomedov can really shake up the Middleweight division. Right now the current Middleweight Champ is Alex "Poatan" Pereira. He is probably going to fight Adesanya again barring a win will probably run through the top contenders in the division and Khamzat Chimaev, then go up to Light Heavyweight based on his walking weight of nearly 225 pounds. However, there is another "rookie" among the Middleweights as well. Bo Nickal. Bo was an Olympic and collegiate wrestler who put on a show inside the octagon on Dana White's Contender Series. Right now the talk of the Middleweight division is Pereira and the inevitable Middleweight debut of Khamzat, but should we really be talking about how two unranked guys in Magomedov and Nickal are gonna walk all over this division? In about a year and a half, maybe two years Magomedov vs Nickal might be a number one contender's fight for a Chimaev championship bout. Magomedov's presence in the UFC will quickly be known I highly anticipate seeing the UFC debut of Sharaputdin Magomedov.
