Ranking the UFC's Double Champs!

This weekend Alexander Volkanovski has the chance to become the fifth double champ in UFC history. There have been many fighters attempting to become the champion of two weight classes at the same time, but only four have achieved the feat. If Volk beats Islam Makhachev for the Lightweight Title he will be the king of both the Lightweight and Featherweight divisions and has said in the past that he wants to defend both belts. Only the number one champion on our list has done so. Here are the UFC's greatest double champions.

4. Conor McGregor (Featherweight&Lightweight)

Conor McGregor has done so much for the UFC, and he's still not finished. Conor is actually the first-ever double champion in UFC history. Conor defeated Jose Aldo to win the Featherweight crown and then Eddie Alvarez to become in his words "the champ champ." Conor could have been so much higher on this list if he ever defended either belt. That is the only blemish on Conor's legacy. He won both belts, but literally never defended either of them. He opted to fight Nate Diaz at Welterweight instead.

3. Henry Cejudo (Men's Flyweight&Bantamweight)

Henry Cejudo is another fighter who felt like he could have done more with his title reigns. He defeated Demetrious Johnson for the Flyweight championship, defended his belt against TJ Dillashaw, then jumped up to the Bantamweight division to defeat Marlon Moraes for the vacant Bantamweight Championship. Henry defended his Bantamweight Title against Dom Cruz and "retired" vacating both titles. Henry has supposedly been making a comeback since he retired and wants his title back.

2. Daniel Cormier (Light Heavyweight and Heavyweight)

Daniel Cormier is an absolute legend. He has only lost to two of the baddest men on the planet (Stipe Miocic and Jon Jones). Everyone else put in front of him, he has defeated. Cormier won the Interim Light Heavyweight title against Anthony Johnson, may he rest in peace. Due to outside-the-octagon complications from Jon Jones, Cormier's Interim title became Undisputed. During Cormier's run, he defeated Alex Gustafsson, Anthony Johnson again, and Volkan Oezdemir. He did lose to Jones in the middle of that run but again remained champion due to Jones having problems outside of the octagon. Before defeating Stipe Miocic for the Heavyweight championship, DC stacked up three Light Heavyweight title defenses. DC successfully defended the Heavyweight championship against Derrick Lewis leaving Cormier with a grand total of four title defenses.

1. Amanda Nunes (Women's Bantamweight&Featherweight)

Amanda Nunes began her dominant Bantamweight Title reign against Meisha Tate way back in 2016. Nunes racked in three title defenses against Ronda Rousey, Valentina Shevchenko, and Raquel Pennington. In 2018 Nunes defeated Chris Cyborg for the Women's Featherweight title. Nunes defended her Bantamweight belt twice more (including a defense against Holly Holm) before she defended her Featherweight title successfully against Felicia Spencer and Megan Anderson. Nunes went back down to 135 to defend her title against Juliana Pena but was ultimately defeated. Amanda got her revenge and has both titles again. She has a total of seven title defenses and is the only champion to defend both her belts on the same run. Amanda Nunes is the greatest female fighter of all time. She is the greatest double champ the UFC has ever seen.

Can Volk join this list and become the greatest double champ in history? Only time will tell.
