UFC 283 Picks are Here!

Tonight is the night! It's time! UFC 283 is here and that means that our here too. We'll be going over the DraftKings fight odds as always. From the early prelims, there are definitely some fun fights to watch out for, starting with Terrance McKinney (-115) vs Ismael Bonfim (-105). Opinion Octagon is going to take McKinney. DraftKings also offers a quick same-game-parlay for this fight with McKinney to win, method of victory is KO/TKO/DQ, and under 1.5 rounds (+215). That is a pretty solid option as the majority of McKinney's wins come from knockouts and TKOs. The next prelim we like is Shamil Abdruakhimov (+675) vs Jailton Almeida (-975). Almeida is probably going to win and the (-975) odds might not be worth it for most people, but if any of the long shots are gonna have a chance tonight it's Abdurakhimov. Shamil is a veteran in the fight game, but recently he has gained some traction in the Heavyweight Division. Everyone knows anything can happen in the Heavyweight Division. Someone is going to sleep in this fight. However, if you wanna take Almeida, you can take him by KO/TKO/DQ (+180), or submission (-165) for better odds.

The next fight you might want to look at is Thiago Moises (-365) vs Meiquizel Costa (+300). We're taking another favorite in Moises, he's a very talented martial artist it's tough to see him losing in his home of Brazil. Yet, if you want better odds you can take another quick same-game-parlay that includes Moises to win, method of victory via submission, and under 2.5 rounds for (+210). If you changed the method of victory to KO/TKO/DQ you'd be looking at (+450). We like another favorite for Gregory "Robo-Cop" Rodrigues (-315) vs Brunno Ferreira (+260). Robo-Cop's last bout against Chidi Njokuani was an absolute blood bath that Robo-Cop ended in the second round. Rodrigues is just another one of those guys where it's tough to see them lose. The quick SGP for better odds is Rodrigues to win by knockout in under two and a half rounds for (+135).

Finally the main card. Paul "Bearjew" Craig (+160) vs Johnny Walker (-190). It is tough not to take Johnny Walker in his home country of Brazil, yet something tells me the Bearjew (+160) is going to pull off the upset. Paul Craig has beaten championship-level Light Heavyweights in Jamahal Hill and Magomed Ankalaev. His high-level grappling has been an equalizer for him. Johnny Walker has also been on a very slippery slope losing three of his last five fights, four of his last six. Craig on the other hand has won four of his last six fights, one being a draw. We're gonna take the Bearjew straight up.

Jessica Andrade (-490) is a sure-fired lock against Lauren Murphy (+390). For (+190) you can do a quick SGP that is Andrade to win by KO/TKO/DQ in under two and a half rounds.

Gilbert Burns (-490) vs Neil Magny (+380) is going to be an extremely exciting fight, but Gilbert is the play here. If you like Burns, but want better odds there's not really a good quick SGP for this one. With that said, you can take still take Burns by KO/TKO/DQ (+240), by submission (+180), or by decision (+180). I like Burns by submission personally. I just can't see Gilbert losing in Brazil.

Now for the Co-Main Event of the evening. The Interim Flyweight Champion, Brandon Moreno (-130) vs The Flyweight Champion Deiveson Figueiredo (+110). My heart says Moreno, so I'm taking Moreno. However, Figgy is the play here at (+110). Figgy with plus odds just seems too sharp not to take. With the history between these two men, really anything can happen. You also might wanna factor in that this is a home fight for Figgy, the lines surprised me on this one.

It's time for the main event. Glover Teixeira (+120) vs Jamahal Hill (-140). Taking Jamahal straight up is a dumb move here in my opinion. If Jamahal wins it's going to be by knockout, if it goes to a decision Glover somehow managed to pull off the unthinkable. Jamahal Hill by knockout (-110) is the play here. It is the unfortunate inevitable end to Glover Teixeira's hall of fame career. I just hope the KO is clean, Glover gets up and is still able to have a moment with his home crowd, and does not end up going viral for getting viciously knocked out like Frankie Edgar or Tony Ferguson.

Well, there you have it! Opinion Octagon UFC 283 picks. The Opinion Octagon lock of the night is Jamahal Hill by KO/TKO/DQ (-110)!
