UFC Fight Night: Spann vs Krylov Picks and Locks!

Tomorrow night is UFC Vegas 70, a Fight Night headlined by Ryan Spann vs Nikita Krylov. There are a lot of unknowns on this card. Many up-and-comers are booked on this card. There are four fights we feel confident picking on the card, as always we'll be offering you the DraftKings fight lines. The first fight Opinion Octagon is taking is Rafael Alves (+160) vs Nurullo Aliev (-190). Rafael Alves is a veteran in this game with a record of 20-11. Nurullo Aliev is one of the "up-and-comers" that is on this card. Aliev has an MMA record of 8-0, this is his UFC debut. Alves is definitely a tough opponent to open your UFC career against, but I believe Aliev (-190) is favored for a reason, and am going to take him.

The next fight we're looking at is Erick Gonzales (+185) vs Trevor Peek (-215). Erick Gonzales is currently on a two-fight losing streak to Jim Miller and Terrance McKinney, his MMA record is 12-7. On the other hand, Trevor Peek is 7-0 in MMA. Trevor's last win came during Dana White's Contender Series. All of Trevor's wins are via knockout/TKO. It is likely he finishes Gonzales via KO/TKO/DQ (-135). Yet, we're just playing it safe and taking Peek straight up as the DWCS fighters usually aren't tested until they actually make it to the UFC. So far, the DWCS is on a roll as an eye for talent. Jamahal Hill made a name for himself that way and is now the Light Heavyweight UFC Champion. Sean O'Malley also got his UFC contract from Dana White's Contender Series.

The return of Tatiana Suarez has been highly anticipated by UFC fans around the world. She hasn't fought since 2019. The line is Saurez (-750) vs Montana De La Rosa (+550). Suarez was dominant before her hiatus from the sport with a record of 9-0. De La Rosa is 12-7-1 and has the size advantage, yet she is still a heavy underdog. I imagine the UFC wants Suarez to stay unbeaten in her return. Yet, I do believe ring or octagon rust will play a factor in leading the fight to either go the distance or at least over 2.5 rounds. We're taking Suarez via decision (-110). If you wanted to take the over for 2.5 rounds instead the line is (-150).

Finally, the main event is Ryan Spann (+145) vs Nikita Krylov (-170). This is honestly an impossible fight to pick the winner. Spann is the eighth-ranked Light Heavyweight and Krylov is ranked sixth. Both fighters are on two-fight win streaks. Ryan Spann fights usually don't last longer than one round win or lose. Krylov won his last fight in a decision against Volkan Ozedemir but knocked out Alexander Gustafsson before that. We think someone's lights are going out before the final bell sounds. We're taking KO/TKO/DQ (-105) as the way the fight ends. That is in fact our lock of the night as well.

So if you want to add everything all together for a parlay you have two options. Aliev (-190), Peek (-215), Suarez via decision (-110), and the winner of Spann/Krylov to win via KO/TKO/DQ for a total parlay odds (+733). If you swapped Suarez via decision for the fight to go over 2.5 rounds (-150) the parlay odds would adjust to (+627). Remember to tweet @OpinionOctagon if you take our picks!
