Weekly Opinion Octagon Parlay: Rozenstruik vs Almeida

This week's UFC Fight Night is here, there are four fights I'm going to break down. As always, we'll be going to cover the DraftKings fight lines! DraftKings really owes me some free bets, the amount I've been plugging them for free. That's neither here nor there, let's break down some fights. Carlos Ulberg vs Ihor Potieria should be a really fun bout, but Ulberg is on a roll right now on a three-fight win streak with his one loss being at the hands of Kennedy Nzechukwu, who has proven to be a dangerous rising star in the Light Heavyweight division. I think Ulberg wins via TKO/KO/DQ or Decision (-360) as he has in all of his four UFC wins. It's hard to bet against City Kickboxing considering Eugene Bareman is coaching two of the current UFC champions and two of the best competitors to ever step inside a UFC octagon (Volk and Izzy).

The next fight we like is Daniel Rodriguez vs Ian "The Future" Gary. After watching Gary get dropped by Kenan Song, it's hard to see him actually being "the future." I believe he's all hype, and it all stems from his relationship with Conor McGregor and training in the same gym under the same coaches. John Kavanagh will be coaching a couple of fighters tonight. In this one, I'm not necessarily betting against him, but I believe D-Rod knocks his lights out (+700) and I have been tweeting about it since the fight has been announced. I'm not taking that, yet I do think D-Rod straight up could be the underdog of the night (+250). However, I did throw the fight ends via TKO/KO/DQ (+140) into the Opinion Octagon Parlay. I think this will be a firefight, it was the original main event for a reason, but Dana wanted to stack the fight night and these two have something to prove after the demotion. Ian Gary definitely has something to prove because so far I don't believe the hype.

The co-main is honestly a super intriguing fight. Johnny Walker vs Anthony Smith feels like a pay-per-view fight. Anthony Smith has been talking a big game about making a title run. Johnny Walker (Kavanagh's Light Heavyweight fighter) is an absolute roller coaster of a fighter. He has some heavy hands, but it doesn't seem hard for the top-level fighters to catch him (see his fight against the champ Jamahal Hill). While I don't believe Lionheart has what it takes to knock Walker out, I still feel like he can trip up Walker with grappling. Yet, the gut says to go with Johnny Walker via TKO/KO/DQ (+140).

Before we get to the main event, we're excited to be working with Elite Sports and Born Tough to try out their products! We will come up with a review post once the product testing is done Keep an eye out for these updates. The main event is going to be electric. Jailton Almeida (-490) is supposed to be the next big thing in the Heavyweight division after Sergei Pavlovich. Jairzinho Rozenstruik (+390) would like to prove otherwise. Rozenstruik is a monster, I saw him absolutely destroy Chris Daukus live at UFC 282. However, Almeida is a far superior fighter than Daukus. Almeida, unlike the majority of the Heavyweight division, has the skill of jiu-jitsu and grappling. I have Almeida via TKO/KO/DQ or Sub (-360). With Rozenstruik fights there's a good chance it becomes a firefight and someone is getting finished. He does thrive in a firefight, but Almeida's striking should be able to hold up. Yet, since I can sense Rozenstruik spoiling parlays I have a hedge parlay set up including D-Rod (+250) and Rozenstruik (+390) for total parlay odds of (+1615). Good luck this week and feel free to tweet @DraftKings to try and get some free bets for the Double O!
